What an honor it is to be the Seminole ISD Superintendent! I have long admired the success that comes out of Seminole ISD & I am excited to join in on our pursuit of excellence! I want you to know that I am passionate about all-things-public-education. Ensuring that our students are experiencing growth on a regular basis, as well as making positive contributions to society at each grade level & particularly once they graduate from Seminole High School will drive every decision we make!
Over my 33-years in public education, God has blessed me with many great experiences ranging from teaching and coaching at both the elementary and secondary levels, as well as experience as a principal in both the elementary and secondary settings. I have worked in both rural & urban/suburban settings, ranging from smaller one-high school districts to multi-high school districts. In each of my experiences, the foundation of my leadership has been built on doing what is best for our students, then what is best for the faculty/staff, followed by what is best for the district and the community in which we serve. I place great value on collaborative, team-based leadership as well as instructional leadership as we seek to support our teachers to provide the best opportunities for our students.
I am also blessed with a wonderful family: Megan & I have been married for 33-years & she serves as Secretary at Seminole Junior High. Our oldest son, Kason, is a Home Inspector for WIN Home Inspections out of Amarillo. Our youngest son, Janson, is a Project Manager for a commercial construction company called Grinder, Tabor, Grinder remotely out of Lubbock.
Our district's vision is to be "One Tribe in Pursuit of Excellence" and we will work tirelessly to fulfill that vision! Seminole ISD is blessed with a rich tradition of excellence, but we will work hard to ensure our best days are ahead of us! #TR1BE
